About the University:
Bilkent University is a private university located in Ankara. It was founded in 1984, as the first private university established in Turkey. The name Bilkent is an abbreviation of bilim kenti: Turkish for "city of science". The university nine faculties (Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture; Faculty of Business Administration; Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences; Faculty of Education; Faculty of Engineering; Faculty of Humanities and Letters; Faculty of Law; Faculty of Music and Performing Arts; Faculty of Science) and four schools (School of Applied Languages; School of Applied Technology and Management; Vocational School of Computer Technology and Office Management; Vocational School of Tourism and Hotel Services).
